Accepting these terms and changes to them

These terms, together with the other rules published on this site, govern your use of our games, your account and any funds held in it. By registering an account, depositing funds or placing a stake, you confirm that you have read these terms and agree to be bound by them.

Some parts of the site carry their own rules, such as the terms of an individual promotion, our privacy notice and the rules of each game. Those rules apply in addition to these terms. If a specific rule and these terms conflict, the specific rule applies to that offer or game only.

We may change these terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the law, in the requirements that apply to our gaming licence, in our payment processes or in the features we offer. Where a change affects your rights or obligations in a meaningful way, we will tell you by e-mail or by notice in your account before it takes effect.

If you do not accept a change

You may ask us to close your account at any time. Your withdrawable balance remains yours, subject to the checks described below.

Eligibility and your account

Our games are for adults only and for customers in the United Kingdom. The following conditions apply to every account.

  1. 18+ only. You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account or place a stake. We may ask you to prove your age at any time and may restrict your account until you do. Where we find that an account holder was under 18, play is void, winnings are forfeited and deposits are returned.
  2. One account per person. You may hold one account only. Where we identify duplicate accounts, or accounts that appear to be operated by the same person, we may close the duplicates and remove any bonus funds and bonus winnings credited to them.
  3. Accurate details. The name, date of birth, address, e-mail address and payment details you give us must be your own, true and complete, and you must keep them up to date in your account.
  4. UK residents. You confirm that you are resident in the United Kingdom and that taking part in online gambling is lawful for you where you are. Access may be restricted if that changes.
  5. Keep your login safe. Your username and password are personal to you. Do not share them or let anyone else use your account. You are responsible for activity carried out through your login, and you should tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.
  6. Your own money only. Deposits and withdrawals must use a payment method held in your name. We do not accept third-party payments.

Verification of your identity, age and address

We hold a gaming licence and are required to confirm who our customers are. Before your first withdrawal we check your identity, your age and your address. We may repeat these checks later, for example if your details change.

Many checks are completed electronically. Where that is not possible, we will ask you for documents, which usually means photographic identification, a recent document showing your address and, in some cases, confirmation that you own the payment method used.

Source-of-funds checks

Where the rules that apply to licensed operators require it, we will ask you to explain and evidence the source of the money you gamble with. We may limit deposits, wagering or withdrawals until we have what we need. Documents you send us are handled as described in our privacy notice.

Deposits, withdrawals and bonuses

The payment methods available to you, the minimum and maximum amounts and any processing times are shown in the cashier and in your account.

Deposits

Funds must come from a payment method in your own name and are held in your account for the purpose of play. Your account is not a bank account, does not earn interest and must not be used to transfer money. Any deposit limits you have set apply before a deposit is accepted.

Withdrawals

Where it is possible, we return funds to the method you used to deposit. Where that method cannot receive payments, we use an alternative method in your name. A withdrawal is released once any outstanding checks are complete, and the time taken after that depends on your payment provider. We may hold a withdrawal where a stake or bonus has been placed in breach of these terms, and we will tell you why.

Bonuses and promotions

Every offer carries its own terms in addition to these, covering the wagering requirement, which games count towards it, the maximum stake allowed while a bonus is active and the date the offer expires. Bonus funds and bonus winnings that do not meet those terms may be removed. Where we find that promotions are being abused, for example through duplicate accounts, group play or stakes placed to cover outcomes rather than to play, we may remove bonuses and any winnings from them and withdraw access to future offers.

Maximum stake while wagering

Going above the maximum stake allowed while a bonus is active can cost you the bonus and anything won with it. The limit for each offer is shown in its own terms.

Safer gambling tools, self-exclusion and account closure

Gambling should stay affordable and under your control. Our games are for over-18s only, and the tools below are available in your account at any time. You can also ask our support team or live chat to set them for you.

  • Deposit limits for a day, a week or a month. A lower limit applies straight away, while a higher limit takes effect only after a cooling-off period.
  • Reality checks that remind you how long you have been playing.
  • A time-out, which closes your account to play for a short period.
  • Self-exclusion for a longer fixed period, during which we will not accept your stakes or send you marketing.

GamStop lets you self-exclude from participating online gambling sites in one step. Free, confidential advice and support are available from GambleAware, GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline.

Closing or suspending an account

You may ask us to close your account at any time by e-mailing support@casino-playuk.co.uk or using live chat, and we will return any withdrawable balance once checks are complete. We may suspend or close an account where these terms have been breached, where the details given to us are false, where funds appear to come from an unlawful source or where our staff are treated abusively, and we may void affected stakes. If an account stays dormant, we will contact you before taking any action on it, and any remaining balance stays yours to claim.

Complaints, liability and governing law

If something goes wrong, tell us first. E-mail support@casino-playuk.co.uk or use live chat and give us your username and a short description of what happened, with dates where you have them. We acknowledge complaints, look into them and give you a decision within a reasonable time, keeping you updated if we need longer.

If our answer does not resolve the matter, you can refer it to the independent dispute resolution service that applies to your account, free of charge. We will tell you who to contact, co-operate with their enquiries and follow the outcome under their rules. Using that service does not affect your statutory rights.

Liability and governing law

We provide the site with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access or that your own device and connection will always work. Where a game or a display is affected by an error, the affected stakes and payouts are void and your stake is returned. Our liability to you is limited to the balance in your account and any stakes properly owed on the affected play. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and you keep the benefit of any consumer protections that apply to you where you live.
